Buh-Bye Lazy Summer

Sigh. Summer's officially over. I went back to work on Wednesday and my new kids come Monday. I'm actually excited to start the new year. I like all of the preparation that goes into it (especially the shopping). I'm just sad that my lazy days with Landree are over for now. We had the best time. This was hands-down, the best summer ever.

Misc. Stuff....

Here's Landree wearing one of the many outfits her Auntie Di Di sent after she left! Thanks Auntie! You may also have noticed the band-aid...she's just fine. In fact, it was Mama that was the one with the band-aid for awhile. We were swimming in the pool and I had her perched up on top of the jacuzzi. I had my arms up to catch her, and to make a long story short, she came down a little faster than I expected and conked me in the noggin. Let's just say I saw some stars. I needed a band-aid for a few days (You can see it a bit in the last picture). Well, Landree wanted one too. She would point to mine and say, "Mama. Wowie." Yes, Landree I have a wowie alright. Then she would point to her own band-aid and I would say, "No owie." She thought this was just hilarious.

We went to the Wild Animal Park with my friend Jenni and her son Aidan. Those two had a great time!

How Time Flies When You're Not Waiting

A year ago today, we received an email with this picture. A year ago today we were told we were FINALLY going to be parents. I remember from that day on, everything was just a whirlwind. We waited and waited and waited for what feet like a lifetime. But then, everything changed and we have the most wonderful daughter!
