Happy Birthday Mom!

Ok, it's really tomorrow (the 22nd), but since I won't be able to blog tomorrow, Happy Birthday Mom! I really want to take a second here and let my mom and everyone else know what a great mother I have! I know I was not the easiest daughter to raise, but dang, you did a great job ma. I know for a fact that if you weren't the patient, kind and caring mother you were and still are, that I would be in a very different place than I am today. I hope your birthday is a great one. I love you!

On another note, we are almost done with the nursery. We have a chair that looks great, (Costco.com people)! a little side table, fun things for the walls, etc. Also, I got creative and decorated some letters that spell out "Landree" for the walls as well. As soon as we can get our camera working, I will post pictures. Hopefully, the next batch of referrals will be out in a week and a half or so. Let's hope they do a big bunch!

51 more referral days to go...

Ok, don't get too excited. That's REFERRAL days, not calendar days. The CCAA has matched up to September 27th. They did 19 calendar days in this last batch. I am pretty happy about this, because they did less than that last time. However, according to the polls on the Rumor Queen's website, they matched fewer families within that time period. Oh well, I'll take it anyway. ALL I know is, it's nineteen days closer to our turn! We are still hoping for an April referral, but it's looking more like May at this point. Also, Chinese New Year is coming up, so what the CCAA will do with the next batch is a big mystery. We adoptive parents are wondering if they will do two quick batches before CNY, or if they will just keep them coming out at the beginning of the month like they have been doing lately. Hmmm...

Anyway, all I know for sure is that when the next batch comes out, they will for sure have gotten into October. And October, folks, is one month away from NOVEMBER!
